We're hoping to grow further and carry on bringing free shows to Edinburgh in August as long as there's an Edinburgh and an August.

Private Peaceful
by Michael Morpurgo
Adapted & Directed by Simon Reade
Private Peaceful relives the life of Private Tommo Peaceful, a young First World War soldier awaiting the firing squad at dawn. During the night he looks back at his short but joyful past growing up in rural Devon: his exciting first days at school; the accident in the forest that killed his father; his adventures with Molly, the love of his life; and the battles and injustices of war that brought him to the front line.
The Bare Necessities Join Lucy Porter for her seventh solo show 'The Bare Necessities.' It's a stripped-down hour of nakedly funny stand-up comedy. Since 2001, Lucy has been a huge, sell-out hit at the Edinburgh Festival and on tour with her distinctive, bouncy, feel-good style. There's always a philosophical element to her shows, and 'The Bare Necessities' is Lucy's most thought provoking show to date. She talks about the really important things in her life: The erosion of our civil liberties, the rise of surveillance society, the infantilization of grown-ups, the reason why so many comedians are depressive alcoholics and the ingredients for a really excellent dirty martini.
