Palestine Dances Dabke with EL-Funoun And Alzaytouna

In order to offer high quality Palestinian culture through dance and art, Al-Zaytouna Dabke Group has invited El-Funoun (Palestine's lead dance troupe) to present sketches from Arab-Palestinian folklore and contemporary culture through unique combinations of traditional and stylized dance and music. With powerful instruments and fine vocals both groups will work together, aiming to reflect the cultural journey of Palestinians through history.

El-Funoun has recently finished touring the U.S and published their new audio production, Zareef. El-Funoun believes in building cultural bridges with the world, both to have a healthy exchange of experience, ideas and techniques and to present the long-suppressed Palestinian culture before other nations. Al-Zaytouna is a UK based Palestinian Dabke dance group which aims to provide diverse audiences the opportunity to experience Palestinian Dabke in a variety of performances, workshops and classes. The members of the group are a mixture of Palestinian and other backgrounds who reside in the U.K and feel the necessity to promote Palestinian culture to the West. Due to the success and demand on the group, Al-Zaytouna has recently established a new branch in Nottingham in order to more easily deliver our cultural understanding goal.
