Fonteyn Nureyev Young Dancers Competition

Having competed against the best young dancers in their region, 20 Finalists from all over the UK will come together for the chance to take the title of "Young Dancer 2008" at each level of this exceptional competition. They will have the opportunity to perform one of four exclusive variations choreographed especially for this competition by world renowned Gillian Lynne CBE. They will perform on stage in front of a live audience, including a judging panel of established dance professionals for the chance to win £1,500 to further their dance education and professional training.

The Royal Academy of Dance created the competition to provide support, encouragement and performance experience to young dancers in the UK and to secure the long-term future of British ballet.
