Armistead Maupin

Exclusive London Event/Only London Public Appearance.

This is the long-awaited new novel in the internationally best-selling Tales of the City series. Michael Tolliver, the sweet spirited Southerner in featured in TotC, is arguably the most beloved gay character in fiction. Now, almost twenty years after ending the groundbreaking saga of San Francisco life, Armistead revisits his all too human hero in Michael Tolliver Lives.

Tales of the City was voted the nation’s favourite gay/lesbian novel in 2006’s Big Gay Read. This is Armistead’s first London appearance in seven years.

Armistead will be in conversation with broadcaster and journalist Francine Stock.
