Now, almost twenty years after ending the groundbreaking saga of San Francisco life, Armistead revisits his all too human hero in Michael Tolliver Lives.

Tales of the City was voted the nation’s favourite gay/lesbian novel in 2006’s Big Gay Read. This is Armistead’s first London appearance in seven years.
