  2. Fringe Benefits - PBH's Free Fringe Fundraiser 2015

    Every year the Comedy circuit combines to support The Free Fringe, founded by Peter Buckley Hill in 1996. This unique institution put on 8003 performances of 502 shows in the three weeks of the Edinburgh Fringe 2014, and aims to do the same in 2015. All these shows are free to the public and do not charge performers to play. This is the ultimate non-profit organisation. And by providing good quality free shows, the Free Fringe has become the biggest organisation at the Edinburgh Fringe.

    For 2015 the benefit show will include
    Terry Alderton manic, improvisational, complex, master of sound effects and accents, former East Enders actor and goalkeeper
    Robin Ince creator of radio's The Infinite Monkey Cage, pioneer of comedy/science fusion
    John Otway cult two-hit wonder with a dedicated following including his own motorcycle club of fans
    Anna Morris creator of Bad Bridesmaids (ITV)
    and more to be announced
    plus Peter Buckley Hill himself

  3. Festival Of The Spoken Nerd: Full Frontal Nerdity DVD Recording

    The sell-out science comedy phenomenon is back! Stand-up mathematician Matt Parker, experiments maestro Steve Mould and geek songstress Helen Arney return to the Bloomsbury Theatre.

    This is your final chance to see Festival of the Spoken Nerd’s hugely successful “Full Frontal Nerdity” show in all its fire-tornado-filled glory. Since last year’s sell-out nights at the Bloomsbury, Helen has smashed 21 wine glasses with the power of her voice, Matt has decoded 37 binary scarves, and Steve has sent 1,382,000 metal beads flying into the air, all for science... Apparently.

  6. Stand Up For A Chair

    Hatty Greenway is an exceptional teen, who after major spinal surgery, needs a special new wheelchair. She has cerebral palsy and so got scoliosis. That’s been fixed now but to maximise it she needs a swanky set of new personalised wheels. The funds from this show will mean she gets it.

    Hatty’s friend Sara Pascoe and her sister Jessica Fostekew host a night of truly amazing stand up. Al Murray. Josh Widdecombe. Susan Calman. Katherine Ryan. Bobby Mair. LOADS of others and at least one more secret MEGA-STAR comedian already confirmed all to be announced soon.

    The Bloomsbury welcomes the return of the London's legendary New Variety Comedy showcase.

    Over three Autumn months at Rich Mix Arts Centre, the NATYS Spotlight Nights will see 100 new acts, performing stand-up, musical, sketch and speciality comedy. Up to 15 will be booked to appear on the coveted NATYS New Variety Bill that has now found its new home at the Bloomsbury.
