The twenty-three films being screened constitute an important testimony to the profound social, political, and cultural transformations that have occurred during the last one hundred years in this turbulent part of the world. They also offer a wide range of poetic styles and cinematic genres: psychological drama, historical drama, poeticized historical epic, comedy, thriller, literary adaptation, philosophical meditation, and documentary short. Some are now regarded as classics of world cinema; others are less well-known, even among film specialists, and are receiving their international premiere as part of the festival.

I'm a skeptic. But don't take my word for it. Or indeed anybody's. For anything...." and this is the basic premise of Mitch's new critically acclaimed show. It's a show that will make you laugh a lot and think a bit as well as Mitch debunks myths, exposes nonsense and grapples with the very nature of knowledge itself extolling the virtues of an evidence-based approach to life .... with amusing consequences and of course a few songs along the way.
