Miss Trinidad and Tobago UK 2008
Carivog International UK presents the 6th Miss Trinidad & Tobago UK Pageant and Cultural Show, where they will select a UK based Trinbagonian beauty to be a cultural ambassador to represent Trinidad and Tobago in the UK.
The night's proceedings will showcase the incredible and wonderfully diverse culture of the beautiful Caribbean twin island nation of Trinidad and Tobago, home of the Carnival and steel pan. Out of Slavery - Gala Night
A memorable evening of music and dance celebrating the abolition of the slave trade, to raise funds for the Ghana charity Ashanti Development.
Royal Ballet dancers including Mara Galeazzi, Yuhui Choe, Thomas Whitehead and Sergei Polunin, come together with Agnes Lopez Rio, Antoine Vereecken and Neil Brown from Wayne McGregor / Random Dance, to present a rich variety of new and recent choreography, interwoven with music composed by ex-slaves and arrangements of spirituals and plantation songs, played by Robert Gibbs, Adrian Bradbury, Oliver Davies and Henry Roche.
