A memorable evening of music and dance celebrating the abolition of the slave trade, to raise funds for the Ghana charity Ashanti Development.

Royal Ballet dancers including Mara Galeazzi, Yuhui Choe, Thomas Whitehead and Sergei Polunin, come together with Agnes Lopez Rio, Antoine Vereecken and Neil Brown from Wayne McGregor / Random Dance, to present a rich variety of new and recent choreography, interwoven with music composed by ex-slaves and arrangements of spirituals and plantation songs, played by Robert Gibbs, Adrian Bradbury, Oliver Davies and Henry Roche.

He is also Deputy Chairman of the British Phonographic Industry, the body that represents UK’s record companies. He wrote and produced 'Bright Eyes, - Art Garfunkel's international number one single, and collaborated with Andrew Lloyd Webber on the song 'Phantom of The Opera'. He has won five Ivor Novello Awards (the UK's songwriting 'Oscar').

A truly inventive and innovative singer and fiddle-player, Eliza Carthy is a gifted musical conceptualist confirming her position as, arguably, the most impressive and engaging performer of a generation.
