Home Secretary visits the Bloomsbury
Jacqui Smith visited the Bloomsbury Theatre in December 2007 to award the prestigious Philip Lawrence Awards. The Philip Lawrence Awards reward outstanding achievements in good citizenship by young people aged 11 to 20.
We're hot in 2008
The Independent's article The future starts here: What's going to be hot in 2008 (4 January 2008) explains that:
It was once said that the Comedy Store was "comedy's unofficial national theatre", ... Just outside the West End, the Bloomsbury Theatre also offers a regular diet of comedy and during 2008 plays host to Stewart Lee's collection of what he sees as the 10 best acts still working today, albeit without invitees Daniel Kitson and Jerry Sadowitz, who maintained their indefinable mystique by declining to appear. Despite their absence, however, Lee has among his collection Harry Hill, Simon Munnery and John Hegley.

Connecting Conversations Events
Connecting Conversations is a series of conversations between psychoanalysts and leading writers and practitioners from other disciplines, including literature, dance, visual art, history, sociology, anthropology and social policy etc.

Philip Lawrence Awards
On Tuesday 5 December the Home Secretary visited the Bloomsbury Theatre to award the annual Philip Lawrence Awards alongside Sir Trevor McDonald and Frances Lawrence.
Bloomsbury Theatre launches new website

Bringing back into use the Gerald Scarfe logo (previously in use from 1983 to 2001), The Bloomsbury Theatre re-launches it's website today (25th September 2006). We hope you enjoy the new look.
Ernest Hecht supports the Bloomsbury
The Ernest Hecht Charitable Foundation have kindly supported the refurbishment of 5 rows of seats in the Bloomsbury Theatre Stalls. One row was supported in homage to Arsenal Football and another in homage to Brazil Football.
